This page is still very under construction. Give us the same patience you would an old dying friend.
Or something.

Are You Having Trouble Finding YOUR Smile?

Imagine the smartest person you know. Now triple that. Imagine the second smartest person you know. Now triple that and make them both breed. Now triple that. Imagine the person with the most pain and agony. Quite literally the worst life a human being could possibly endure. Imagine that and triple it. Smiling yet? Triple it. Now you're starting to get a picture of my tortured and genius mind. Hi there! My name is Liam Cain and I created this magazine, with the express purpose of making YOU (The Reader) Smile!!!! πŸ™‚We’re gonna cover all kinds of different stuff that you love, stuff like music and current events, and popular culture.

Remember those days? Yeah, those ones. The ones from a long time ago. We used to play, with smiles on our faces. We imagined things and created worlds that were beautiful. All in our own heads. We can still play. We can still imagine things. Smiley Mag is like going back to these times, on paper. Back to when things were better. When people hated each other and died at 16 years old because they got the common cold. When kids could smoke cigarettes and get drunk and fuck. When β€œSex” and β€œβ–ˆβ–ˆβ–ˆβ–ˆβ€ basically meant the same thing. When the sun shone bright and the grass was green and little flowers blossomed and birdies chirped and gas was a dollar a gallon and cigarettes were cheap and whores were even cheaper. SMILEY. Like yesterday but better.

-Liam Cain, Tortured Genius and Chief Editor of Smiley Magazine

In order to write an article, submit art, graphics, images, or ideas please send over a very basic pitch first so we are all on the same page before you spend hours working on something that can’t live in this magazine. A pitch good pitch should:

  • Introduce the general idea/article whatever
  • Explain what the piece is supposed to say/represent/connect to/why its important
  • Connect to our mission of spreading positivity like a disease

Obviously if you are just sending over some doodles or something it's fine to not pitch, this is mostly for pieces that you anticipate taking up a lot of time/consideration.
